Ftoross in a storage ship slum
The Ftoross were a humanoid species that formed part of the lowest classes of Sillage society.
Their original home planet was destroyed by excessive mining by the Dizhneuhviaimes, who were interested in its primary materials, eventually forcing the entire Ftoross species to move to Sillage.
They were the most numerous of all the races in the convoy. Most of them were unemployed and extremely poor, living in large slum cities aboard storage ships. Many died young in the horrible hygenic conditions there. Those "lucky" few who found work still earned to little to put them above the official poverty line.
Their plight eventually led some Ftoross to engage in terrorist attacks such, as the suicide bombing of the Net Trans-Ship 9674 cable train. [1]
